eco-centre with impressive displays set amongst the beautiful natural
environment of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge. A visit to CaveWorks is a must

CaveWorks is a fascinating eco-centre
with impressive displays of caves set amongst the beautiful natural
environment of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge.
Lake Cave
(Caves Road, Margaret River)
Directly below CaveWorks lies Lake Cave, a stunning, pristine chamber deep
beneath the earth. Inside the cave a tranquil lake reflects delicate
formations that will take your breath away. Visitors descend a staircase in
time, gazing up at towering karri trees form a primeval lost world, before
entering one of the most beautiful caves in Western Australia. You can also
enjoy a snack or meal at the Lake Cave Tearoom.
Mammoth Cave
(Caves Road, Margaret River)
This awe inspiring cave is a natural capsule and home to ancient fossil
remains of extinct animals. It also features an audio self guiding system,
allowing visitors to travel through the fascinating underworld at their own
pace. Mammoth is also one of the few caves in Australia with partial
universal access.
Jewel Cave
(Caves Road, Margaret River near Augusta)
Jewel Cave seems to defy nature and dwarf those who enter its lofty
chambers. This spectacular recess with its intricate decorations and sheer
magnitude is home to one of the longest straw stalactites to be found in any
tourist cave in the world.
